Psalm 27

As God always does, He never disappoints me and always meets me right where my heart cries the loudest.....as I sat before the Lord this morning with my Bible.....I often end my quiet time with a Psalm. I sometimes to to the Psalm reflecting the date. Since today is the 27th...that is the Psalm I read and continue to mediate on. May it encourage your heart this morning, too

The Psalm is entitled:

"An Exuberant Declaration of Faith"

"The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked came against me
to eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
they stumbled and fell.

Though an army may encamp against me, (for me-that army is cancer)
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life

To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble.
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock
And now my head shall be lifted up above
my enemies all around me;

Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Hear, O Lord when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When you said, "Seek My face,"
My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."
Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.

Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

We are currently in Florida on a family vacation (again God's timing was perfect!!) We are off to the beach....I think possibly my most favorite place on the earth. Have a wonderful day!

Love,
Stacy

Stacy, I couldn't believe when I saw your name. I lost you for quite a while. I just quit going thinking you were never posting. I will now go back and read to see how I lost you. The last entry I remember was about financial responsiblity. Thank you so much for not forgetting us and I will be back.

Stacy...
I am popping over from Kelley's website.

After walking through my husbands leukemia diagnosis, treatment and remission in the last year and a half - it is my privilege to pray for you sweet sister.

I do know how the prayers and pray-er buoy the sojourner along the way.

Stacy, I do not know you but happened upon your blog tonight while cooking dinner. I am a 32 year old mom to 2 babies and a 15 month survivor of stage 3 breast cancer. I have a blog that I pray will be of encouragment to you. I was diagnosed in January 2009 and finished all treatment in May 2010. I am adding you, my sister through Christ and cancer, to my prayer journal and will be checking in on you. My blog address is www.kellysjournal2009.blogspot.com. If you go to it, just go back and start at the archives of Jan 2009. I'm sure much of it will sound quite familiar to you. Hugs from Tennessee!
